Phone remote
Drive the WorkPilot running on your Mac from your phone's browser. Send an instruction while travelling, check how it's going, approve something. It only works while the Mac is running — nothing happens if the app is closed.

Opening the remote
On the Mac, open Phone link in the sidebar.
A URL is shown under 📱 Remote (control from your phone when you're out).
Press Copy URL, send it to your phone, and open it in a browser.
As the app explains, the URL is fixed and accepted whenever the app is running. Add it to your phone's home screen once and it's a single tap from then on.
Using it away from your desk (Tailscale)
On the same Wi-Fi, the URL works as-is. To use it from elsewhere, install Tailscale (free) on both the Mac and the phone.
⚠ Tailscale not found. This URL only works on the same Wi-Fi means you won't reach it from outside. Install Tailscale, then check the URL again.
Data is exchanged directly within your network and is not sent to an external server.
Using your voice
The remote supports voice input — built for moments when you can't look at the screen, such as travelling or driving. Your browser needs permission to use the microphone (most browsers only allow this over a secure connection, which is one more reason to go through Tailscale).
Enabling the microphone
The phone pairing panel has an Enable the microphone button. One press installs the relay configuration that Mac needs, and your iPhone's microphone starts working. This used to require running commands by hand; on a Mac that hadn't been set up, the URL stayed on http, the microphone didn't work, and nothing on screen told you what was missing.
It is only reachable inside your own Tailscale network. Nothing becomes accessible from outside.
Below the remote URL you'll see who can open it. That URL belongs to that Mac only. Anyone using a different Mac needs to generate their own URL on their own machine.
Looking after the key
The URL contains a key. Anyone who has the URL can operate the app, so treat it accordingly.
If you think it has leaked, press Rotate key.
You'll be asked to confirm. Phones using the old URL will lose access.
Open the new URL on the phone to reconnect.
Never paste the remote URL into a screenshot or a chat message. If the key is visible, anyone can drive your app.
Shoot on the phone, finish on the Mac
To send footage to the Mac, pair the companion phone app using a QR code.
Put the phone on the same Wi-Fi as the Mac.
Scan the QR code in the Phone link panel from “Pair with Mac” in the phone app. If it won't scan, type the token shown on screen instead.
Send the footage, and the Mac asks how you want to receive it.
There are two options:

Sending several at once gives a single prompt, e.g. Received {n} items. If you trimmed the clip or added music on the phone, it can be imported as a composition with those edits applied.
Turning it off
To end the link, press Stop linking. To close the panel while leaving the link running, choose Close (keep linking).
