WorkPilot Docs

Every AI you use,
driven from one cockpit.

New AI models keep arriving, and each one is good at something different. So most people switch between them — which is the right call. But the more you switch, the more you re-explain the same context. WorkPilot is a Mac app that lets you work across the AI subscriptions you already pay for.

Concept

The problem WorkPilot solves

Before the details, get these three things. Once they click, every feature makes sense.

Today

You bounce between apps

One AI for research, another for code, another for images. Switching is correct — their strengths really are different. But tabs pile up, and you lose track of where you asked what.

With WorkPilot

One window. Swap the AI, not the app

Inside the same conversation you can switch between Claude, ChatGPT, Kimi and Gemini. The conversation and everything it produced stay in one place, so nothing needs hunting down.

Today

You explain the same context every time

Company rules, project background, your writing preferences, decisions already made. Every new conversation — and every switch of AI — starts by typing it all out again.

With WorkPilot

Context is something you keep

Documents and rules become Knowledge; a workflow that went well becomes a Skill. Equip them to a thread and every AI receives the same context.

Today

Getting an AI to understand your code is a chore

Which file does what, how to run it, where things live. Every engineering conversation begins with explaining the codebase all over again.

With WorkPilot

Hand over the whole repository

Register the folder you are working in as Code, and the conversation starts with the structure already read. Running it, reviewing changes and reverting all happen in the same window.

In short: switching AI no longer means starting over.

Context, procedures and codebase understanding live on your side, not inside one AI vendor. That is the idea behind WorkPilot. And what powers it is the AI subscription you already pay for — WorkPilot does not bill you again for AI usage. See how sign-in works

Find it by what you want to do

Where you start depends on what you are making and how much you want to delegate.

Concepts

Four words worth learning

The idea above shows up in the app as these four words. Learn them and the UI stops being confusing.

A thread is one piece of work

One thread per job. Split it into chapters when it grows, branch into a child thread when the topic forks. Equipment and history belong to the thread. How threads work

Equipment is what a thread carries

Knowledge, skills, roles, external connections and code. Combine them to reproduce the same quality. Knowledge / Skills

Engines are interchangeable

Choose Claude, ChatGPT, Kimi or Gemini per thread. Video generation is the exception — it runs through Claude. Connecting and switching

Risky actions always stop

Deleting, publishing and anything that costs money can be gated by approval mode. Sharing code runs a secrets scan first. Safety and data
